Tim Gowan is that person, and we’re delighted to welcome him as Baskervill’s Director of Healthcare.

With over two-and-a-half decades focused specifically in healthcare, Tim’s resume includes an unmatched array of projects from medical office buildings to hospital expansions, university health centers, sprawling medical campuses, and more. Tim has dedicated his life to helping others — showcasing a wealth of knowledge with a personal touch.
“The opportunity to drastically change people’s lives through design is what excites me,” says Tim. “I’m honored to join Baskervill and work alongside this passionate team to help shape the future of healthcare.”
Born and raised in New York, Tim has spent his career embedded in healthcare facilities of all types. As both a client-side facilities leader for NY-based healthcare systems and a design-side partner, Tim’s perspective reflects his in-depth knowledge of facility operations, challenges, and needs, with an approach that works to create solutions from the ground up.
“I’m able to connect with my clients because of my direct understanding of their point of view,” Tim says. “I know what goes on behind the scenes and have seen first-hand the challenges of the healthcare system. Paying special attention to a client’s wants and needs—and approaching every decision with that collaboration at the forefront— has been the basis of my most impactful projects. It’s why I’m such a fierce proponent of teamwork and partnership. Baskervill’s ‘Ask. Listen. Create’ methodology really spoke to me in that sense.”
When he’s not spearheading the design of thoughtful, patient-centric spaces, Tim channels his imagination as an avid artist. Much like in his day-to-day work, he thrives on bringing a community together over shared creativity.
