The new Hotel Indigo Gainesville at Celebration Pointe explores the interrelation between local conservation efforts and the preservation of folklore. The design story centers on the concept of mutualism — the symbiotic relationships between species that benefits both parties — as it expresses the relationship between: the built environment and nature, nature and folklore, and folklore and people. The guest experience is meant to follow a progression from nature to the built environment, utilizing repetitive elements of varying materiality and focal artwork.

The six-story, 140-room hotel is an anchor of the new Celebration Pointe development. Focused on experiential travel, the hotel will feature localized food and beverage options to connect travelers to the community and neighborhood itself. The project is currently under construction and slated for completion in August 2018.
