Located in the heart of Jamaica’s capital city, the AC Hotel Kingston harnesses the spirit of the island nation at its finest. Taking inspiration from the region’s Blue Mountains, the modern steel and glass structure tells the story of a new Jamaica. The island’s first AC hotel, the seven story, 148,400-SF hotel includes 220 guestrooms and suites, AC’s branded Lounge, Kitchen, and Library, ballroom and meeting space, and media salons. The resort-like property also includes a custom outdoor stage for live music and community events, pool and pool deck, and a number of retail tenant spaces for a seafood market, restaurant, coffee shop, rental car dealership, and salon.

Inside, layering of light wood walls, warm neutral floors, and textural stone tile imparts a tranquil atmosphere elevated by pops of vibrant green. The gallery-inspired aesthetic was thoughtfully curated with a distinctive collection of Jamaican art and furnishings, with the goal of providing guests a deeper connection to the heart of Jamaica – the people, the heritage, and the culture. Baskervill provided site masterplanning, architectural, and interior design services for the project.
