Once a failed government-housing project, Winchester Greens was meticulously reimagined as a model community using New Urban design techniques. Working with the Better Housing Coalition over a long period, Baskervill master-planned and redesigned much of the community. The project is notable not only for its award-winning design but the community-building initiatives undertaken to achieve it. Home to 240 townhomes, a community center, three senior housing communities, office space, a childcare facility, and multiple retailers, Winchester Greens also enjoys numerous open public green spaces and sidewalks throughout. The project restored safety, pride of place, and a sense of community to residents.
