Working with a multi-family developer focused in adaptive-reuse, we explored an addition to the historic – and iconic – Watkins Cottrell building in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. The concept maintains the existing historic facades while adding 85,000 square feet to accommodate 64 units for market rate apartments.
