Completed for Liberty University, this five-story parking structure at 88,000 square feet per level, totaling 440,000 square feet for the entire building. It holds 1,400 vehicles at 314 square feet per vehicle. The naturally ventilated parking deck is made of precast concrete with traditional brick and cast stone accents designed to complement the classical, Jeffersonian campus architecture. The project was designed under a very aggressive schedule with approximately 16 weeks from notice to proceed to architectural permit set. Numerous changes along the way, due to the intensity of the schedule, did not negatively impact the owner’s bottom line — a testament to the strong team dynamics of the design/build partnership at play.
