The facade facing the hotel’s primary cross street has a single story elevation and includes a rooftop courtyard with a green roof.

The hotel’s interior draws inspiration from historic downtown Knoxville, taking on the natural surroundings that embrace the city. Subtle references to historic artifacts from the Knoxville Sentinel speak to the history of the site while vintage items are re-purposed and displayed in unique new ways. Rich patterns allude to the geometry of the man-made environment and their interaction with the organic forms found in nature. A warm, neutral palette unifies the interior while colorful accents speak specifically to each flag’s brand identity. Vibrant green color pops highlight the Courtyard pulling from the green hues of the Smokey Mountain trees, while rich golds and blues in the Residence Inn space reflect the golden tree canopies in autumn and the deep shades of the Tennessee River.
