Traipsing through Albany lore, our design team found an ignition point, an explosive milestone that sent a once sleepy community barreling toward its present-day destiny as a lively city. The catalyst? Prolific Dutch trading posts. That’s why this new-build, dual-branded property thrives from an unmistakable Dutch and Netherland design essence. Wood elements, linear patterns and mid-century modern furniture details make for a minimalist aesthetic fit for balancing the two contrasting brands. The interplay of bold geometric shapes with classic materiality makes for a bold reception experience, a space pegged as an intentional breath and bridge between each brand’s custom areas. The property, currently under construction, will be six stories with 220 guestrooms. Baskervill’s architecture, interior design, and MEP engineering teams provided comprehensive design services for the project.
