Baskervill Celebrates New Principals, Associates

The author and speaker Jim Rohn said it best when he concluded: “The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not a bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.” That challenge is not for everyone. Today, we celebrate seven colleagues who lead by example; teammates who challenge us, guide us, support us, and grow with us.

We are thrilled to share the promotions of Adrienne Scribner, ASID, CID, NCIDQ, Michelle Lerner-Konopatski, AIA, IIDA, and Patricia Lopez, NCIDQ, LEED AP, who are now principals, and Gillian Bowman, ASID, CID, NCIDQ, Michael Harper, Assoc. AIA, Patrick MacCormac, PE, and William Schooley, PE, PMP who have been named associates.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Our new principals are three leading ladies already widely respected for their leadership, admired for their creativity, and valued for their vision. It’s safe to say that they excel in nearly every aspect – mentoring young staff, navigating complex project challenges, and building networks that reinforce their passion and commitment to their craft.

Baskervill celebrates new principals: Adrienne, Michelle and Patricia

Adrienne Scribner is a veteran interior designer who calls the firm’s DC office home. With more than 20 years’ experience in hospitality – and a client roster that includes Marriott, Gaylord Hotels, Ritz Carlton, and more – Adrienne has built a reputation as a strategic design thinker, dialed into the leading-edge products and processes that elevate the hospitality experience.

Both a registered architect and licensed interior designer, Michelle Lerner-Konopatski is known for seeing projects from an integrated perspective. As the Managing Director of the firm’s Orlando office, she puts her nearly 20 years of experience in workspace, hospitality and healthcare to work, navigating everything from contract negotiations to complex document sets and leading a growing team.

Patricia Lopez joined Baskervill as an intern in 2005 and never looked back. Now, 14 years later, Patricia – a certified interior designer and LEED-accredited professional – is based in the firm’s Richmond office leading hospitality projects throughout the US and Caribbean. Known as much for her strengths in client relationships as her creative design sensibilities, Patricia’s projects for Marriott’s Autograph Collection, AC Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, and many others are among her most notable work.

Four new faces join our associate ranks this year, bringing diverse perspectives from architecture, interior design, engineering and project management. Beloved for their technical prowess, big-picture thinking, and team-first approaches, leadership is a natural next step for these four standouts.

Baskervill celebrates new associates: Gillian, Michael, Patrick and WilliamGillian Bowman is a Richmond-based certified interior designer focused in workspace, community, and higher education. Her passions for photography, woodworking, and salvaged items reinforce her tactile approach to design, which focuses on developing user-centric, brand-conscious spaces uniquely tailored to her clients. Gillian is the President-Elect of the Virginia Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and a founding member of Beer+Design.

It’s not often you find a designer equally skilled in the technical intricacies of a project as they are in navigating complex, multi-discipline design and construction teams on big, out-of-the-ground properties – but Michael Harper does both with ease. Creative and resourceful, Michael is a guiding force leading new build and renovation projects in hospitality from the firm’s Richmond office.

Patrick MacCormac loves details. It’s an obvious trait for an engineer, but one that Richmond-based Patrick wears well. A licensed mechanical engineer with a commensurate level of experience in electrical design and commissioning for utility-scale generators, Patrick’s balance of technical expertise and real-world application – with a dose of good humor – serves him well in support of hospitality, workspace, healthcare, and higher education projects across the firm.

Passionate about optimizing performance and dialing in efficiencies, it’s no wonder William Schooley – an engineer by training and a certified Project Management Professional – is a strong leader. Managing projects for workspace, higher education, healthcare and community teams from the firm’s Richmond office, William’s also working closely with our workspace strategists in supporting deep focus work with strategically-designed spaces.

Please join us in congratulating our newest principals and associates!
