    Just a few weeks ago, construction began to transform the Leigh Street Armory into a home for the new Black History Museum, and exciting work is already happening at the site!

    Demolition continues on an addition at the north side of the building. A portion of that wall will remain to satisfy National Park Service and Virginia Department of Historic Resources guidelines.
